Stray ammunition

A stray ammunition is a bomb or rocket, which released a lot of smaller explosive devices above the target region. Depending on the ammunition’s condition, type and age, up to 30% of those sub ammunition is not exploding but remains dangerously as unexploded ordnance devices [1] . Thus, stray ammunition is one reason why large areas are contaminated by landmines and therefore called minefields [2].
